Are you thinking about living in Coral Springs, Florida, and are curious about what it costs? In this episode of Hearty Home, we're going to tell you exactly what it costs to live in Coral Springs. We’ll look at everything from the cost of housing to the cost of gas so you know exactly what to expect.

The Cost Of Housing

We work with many people who move here, and the cost of living is always one of the top questions we get. Let’s look at some of the bottom-line numbers, starting with the obvious: the cost of housing. One of the first things you'll need to decide is if it’s better to buy or rent.

Then, you’ll need to decide what kind of housing you need. Are you single, or do you have a family? The price of housing varies depending on your answers to these questions. If you have any additional questions, I can send you more detailed information. To start, though, here are some general pointers.

A three-bedroom single-family home in Coral Springs can be found anywhere between $125,000 to $550,000. A four-bedroom single-family home in the same area would be about $440,000 to $750,000. You could also get into the million-dollar range as well.

Condos, Townhomes, And Villas

If you're looking for something a little bit smaller with less maintenance, condos range from $155,000 to $274,000. Townhomes and villas are around $230,000 to $600,000. Remember that certain features like a pool or waterfront will be on the higher end of the price range.

If you're looking to rent in the area, you can plan on spending anywhere between $1,450 on the low end to $5,000 on the higher end. A four-bedroom single-family can be rented anywhere between $4,800 to $6,800 per month. A three-bedroom single-family home in the same area would be between $3,200 to $5,200 per month.

If you're looking for a two-bedroom condo, expect to pay about $1,600 to $2,400 per month. A three-bedroom condo is about $2,200 to $2,500 a month.

Taxes And Gas

Another cost to consider is property taxes. These vary in our area, though the county tax rate is about 1% of the purchase price. The annual state income tax here in Coral Springs is 0%. That's right; Coral Springs residents only pay federal taxes.

Gas averages here around $3.44. And yes, you will need a car.
