Are you thinking of moving to Pembroke Pines and want to know what it’s like to live here? In this episode of Hearty Home, we’re going to take you on a tour of one of the best neighborhoods in the area: Pembroke Falls. We’ll explore the amenities and community highlights around the city so you know exactly what to expect.
Welcome To Pembroke Pines
Did you know that Pembroke Pines is known for its small-town feel with big-city amenities? The city reflects a diverse and high quality of life that meets the needs of families, singles, and seniors, providing big-city services while staying true to the small community.
I've been coming here for years and, although there are some big changes, it still feels like the same, small caring community. Before we look at the neighborhood, let’s explore the amenities you can enjoy when you live here.
Shops At Pembroke Gardens
One of the great features of Pembroke Pines is the Shops at Pembroke Gardens. This shopping center is a great place to play and relax, and it also offers so many different restaurants. There’s Brio Italian Grille, which is a pretty large chain, along with other diverse eateries that represent different ethnic cuisines.
There’s also a beautiful steak house called Brimstone Woodfire Grill, a yummy place to come in, eat, chill, and have a couple of drinks. The food is also amazing. The next place that you should check out is Havana 1957, which offers Cuban cuisine. I love this place because my little boy is obsessed with rice and beans, and they make the most awesome dishes and plates here.
There’s also some great artwork that's displayed throughout Pembroke Gardens made by local artists, which you can enjoy as you stroll the shops. Whether you want to visit Banana Republic, Hollister, and Lululemon or want to browse books and sip coffee and Barnes and Noble and Starbucks.
C.B. Smith Park
In addition to plenty of shopping and dining, Pembroke Pines is a great spot for families. You can get the kiddos and come out and play at C.B. Smith Park, one of Broward County's most diverse parks located right here in Pembroke Pines.
This park is so desired because of its sprawling waterpark with a 450-foot tall waterslide, lazy river, large campground, family golfing center, tennis complex, and one of the largest special events areas. Can you say, ‘Family Fun Day’?
Pembroke Falls
Now that you have an idea of what it's like living in Pembroke Pines, how much does it cost? You might want to know what you get for the money. Pembroke Falls is a master association gated community with lots of smaller communities with it. They all enjoy the same amenities that are offered by the community.
The average cost for a single-family home in this area is roughly $560,000. The average cost of a condo or a townhouse in this area ranges anywhere from $450,000 to $500,000. In Pembroke Falls, you can expect to find single-family homes anywhere from 1,600 square feet up to 2,500 square feet.
We looked at one example, which is a three-bedroom, two-bath, single-family home with the master bedroom on the opposite side of all of the other bedrooms. The square footage of this home is on the smaller size of some of the homes in Pembroke Falls at approximately 1,600 square feet, though it’s still a great option.
